One day before the game launches on December 5, the Overwatch 2 Season 8 patch notes have been released for the PC, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
To accommodate Mauga, the newest tank in the game, who is making his debut with several enhancements from his BlizzCon preview weekend, some heroes have been nerfed and boosted in this patch.
This patch adds Weapon Skins to the hero balancing adjustments, offering players more options to personalize their mains. This version has added A Hard Light theme for Reaper, Mercy, and Reinhardt.
Numerous buff changes have been made to improve balance. For example, Ramattra’s projectile size has been raised, Tracer’s damage has been boosted, and Sombra’s EMP now locks off enemy abilities for three seconds.
The biotic field of Soldier 76 will have a longer cooldown, Brig’s Whipshot damage will only deal 70 instead of 80, Sigma’s Experimental Barrier will cause health to replenish more slowly, and many other changes are being made.
For all the information, go through the patch notes below, and stay tuned to Dexerto for more Overwatch 2 news.
